Fall Break this year was October 10th - 14th. With a child in school now, Fall Break was a total party at home. It was so nice to have Kenedee home for a whole week. She was able to just play, took naps and wasn't grumpy, she got along with Lincoln so well...life was good.
We had a SPOOKY BUDDIES night with the Ahumadas. Ernie & Lauren had us over for dinner in their new place, we brought 'dirt and worms' for dessert, and the kids watched 'Spooky Buddies' in their theater room downstairs while the adults chatted upstairs. It was a fabulous night and the kids had a blast. Here are Caleb & Kenedee enjoying their dirt...
We went swimming that week (Kenedee was excited for this one since she's missed out on swim playdates while being in school). The kids entertained themselves for hours...
Kyron, Lincoln, Adley, Kenedee, Millie, and Dax kicking it pool side. (They were actually dipping their feet in the hot tub - they get spoiled swimming in AZ's weather. They were a little chilly with the cooler water and 90 degree weather.)
Kenedee & Millie in their matching swimsuits...
Adam took work off Friday so we could have a family day around town. We took the kids to the Phoenix Childrens Museum (our first time going). I've heard a lot about how awesome it is and it didn't disappoint. We loved it. As we walked in there was this CD wall...loved it!
Kenedee loved this area. She'd put this piece of fabric in a tube, which is then sucked throughout the tubes and gets shot out somewhere along the way. Pretty sweet...
They contributed to the painting of this castle. It's been painted a different color each day for the last two years or something crazy like that. They showed us a chunk of the castle showing hundreds of layers...insane.
I even enjoyed myself finding the kids in the 'noodle forest'...
The kids rode forever in this 'car wash'. A little boy was too small to ride a tricycle so he hopped on the back of Kenedee's as she went around lap after lap.
Lincoln is very much into seeing 'how things work'. He spent forever in this area...
Ice cream parlor...the kids loved serving each other fake ice cream. Lincoln's face cracks me up in this first picture... 'what flavor do you want???'
That evening we carved pumpkins that we had gotten the week before at the Farm. We let the kids draw out their own face on their pumpkin. They quite enjoyed it this year.
Notice the intense concentration and Lincoln's tongue...he is a total mini-me of his dad :)
