Goodbye crazy tooth!!!

Tuesday, February 5th, Kenedee had her front teeth pulled by a pediatric dentist. This is a day we knew would come and had long been waiting for. When she was about 3 years old, she fell down the front cement steps in our Georgia home...hitting her front teeth on the bottom step. They immediately bled but there seemed to be no other damage, until one of front teeth started turning gray a few weeks/months later. We realized her tooth had probably died but over the last few years, it has almost gone up higher into her gums, clearly not growing, and seemed to be breaking off. Our dentist said it had probably fused to her bone when she hit it which is why it was so far up there and there was no way it would be coming out on its own. It was finally time for it to come out so we had both pulled in hopes that both front teeth will come down together. (at the point we'll know if the baby root had damaged the permanent tooth up in her gums)

Kenedee was super nervous for her big day but excited to get her teeth out. (She had become self conscious over the last year or so with her crazy tooth, poor girl). Here she is BEFORE...

And AFTER...

She had to stay home from school that day and take it super easy. Her recovery couldn't have been better. Oh happy day that we got that done before the baby came!
