MAD MAD WHIRLED

We had a fun-filled weekend full of the pool, food, whirlyball, and Pappasitos. A girl in my ward started these pool/potluck parties every Friday night for families/friends. This was the second one and it was another hit. They whipped up some tasty Southern pulled pork and then each family brought a side item. There was tons of yummy food, water fights, and swimming. Kenedee of course loved every minute of it.

On Saturday I invited five other families to go play some WHIRLYBALL. Kellie and Steve have done it before and we've been hearing a lot of things about it. So we rounded up the crew and tried it out. It was a hit. For those of you who've never heard of whirlyball, you're missing out. You play 3 on 3, 4 on 4, or 5 on 5. Each person is in a bumper car and is holding a plastic catcher thing. You're on a court with a backboard/goal at each end. You throw the woofleball back and forth down the court and try to hit your goal. We had two moms rotate each game since there were quite a few sideliners. We had three little boys and four babies cheering us on. After the first two games, the guys decided they'd go one more, 3 on 3, no more messing around. It was pretty intense and left our guys super sweaty. Good times for all. We went to eat at Pappasitos afterwards. After the hour and a half wait, we were starving. The kids were awesome and made for a great night!

Here are some of our sideliners... Quinton and Jaxson cheering everyone on!

The crew at Pappasitos! The Barlows, Carrolls, Partridges, Howells, and Clarks

Quinton showing his sweet moves. Rock on dude!!!

Whirlyball, what a fun thing to do, I've never heard of that. We'll have to see if they have that around us some place. Too fun. First Father's Days are almost as much fun as first Mother's Days. Happy "real" Father's Day Adam!
