We just returned from our three week vacation back West. Kenedee & I flew out a few days earlier to attend my work Christmas Party in Bountiful, UT and work in the office for a few days. Adam flew in the next week and we were able to have lunch with his Grandma/aunts & uncles before we drove to Idaho. This was the first time Kenedee met her Great Grandma Evelyn! We then drove to Idaho Falls just in time to watch my sister cheer at a boys basketball game, celebrate my Dad's Birthday, cut my hair, and celebrate our 5-year Anniversary. My parents were kind enough to watch Kenedee while we went to dinner and stayed at a hotel there in Idaho Falls. Christmas week came next and was a busy one this year. My Grandpa Lewis passed away on Christmas Eve, which made things a bit more tender. We were able to see him the week before which made it a lot easier. Our family tradition includes a movie and then Christmas Eve dinner with our family friends. We found out about my Grandpa's passing that evening as we were headed to dinner at the Valentine's so my Mom & Dad didn't make it.
Afterwards, we came home and opened our pajamas. Christmas morning we had Christmas in the basement, Kenedee loved all of her new presents! We didn't want to get her anything too big since we'd be flying home but we still had fun buying her presents this year. My brother and his family made it to Idaho Falls on Christmas day so we were all together at last!
My parents drove to Bountiful and back on the 26th to make the funeral arrangements while the rest of the fam (minus Adam, myself, and the grandkids) went skiing. On Thursday we had professional family pictures taken (with my five month belly hidden)! and then went to see Enchanted/I Am Legend. We drove back to Bountiful on Friday and made it in time for my Grandpa's viewing and then attended the funeral on Saturday, the 29th. He was an amazing man and I will surely miss him!
We drove back to Idaho Falls on Sunday with my family. We celebrated New Year's Eve with family/friends and then went bowling with everyone the next day. My parents got us tickets for the Rexburg Temple Open House so we went through on Wednesday. It was so beautiful inside! We drove back to Bountiful that night and flew out the next morning. So yes, we started off in Bountiful, drove to Idaho Falls, then back to Bountiful, back to Idaho Falls, and back to Bountiful once again. Christmas week kept us super busy but the other few days before and after were some very needed relaxing days. It was so nice to be home with FAMILY!!!!

It was good to see you guys. I wish we could have spent more time together. Sorry to hear about your grandpa. Next time your here we'll have to get together with our kids.
Nice picture of the families; I wonder where you got it from? :) jk, it was so good to see you all this Christmas! Hopefully, we get to see you at least once BEFORE the next scheduled Christmas in two years!

You guys were busy! I'm glad you got to enjoy Christmastime too. I just love that time of year and having my 2 kiddies just made it sooo much funner!
wow! i'm tired just after reading that. i'm not sure how you kept up. i'm sorry to hear about your grandpa. i bet it made all the difference to be there the week prior. i'm glad your visit was nice.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa. It's good you were able to see him the week before. Looks like your Christmas was like ours, craziness going here and there. It's worth it though to get to be with family. Have a great 2008!
I LOVE your new hair Kandis! It's so fun to see how big Kennedy is getting. In our minds she's still teeny tiny and immobile like the last time we saw her. It would be so fun to get together! The boys still talk about Kennedy and would be delighted to entertain her. We'll have to plan something. Hope your pregnancy is going well. You look so cute! Take care!
