New Years Day - HELLO 2009

The Barlow boys decided to take on the task of building new shelves in their parents garage. If they wanted to do it right, they had to insulate and dry-wall the garage first and then build the wooden shelves. So New Years Eve day they insulated and put drywall in the garage and finished the shelving part on New Years Day. I love projects and would have been in the middle of it if I could, but there were babies to take care of so we kept the indoors under control. It was a fun project for the guys to do together and the first time for many to be using power tools! The garage looked awesome!

The kids and I were busy inside building the tallest tower EVER! Well not really but we tried. It did pass up Greg, who is over 6 feet so we felt like champs!

After the boys got cleaned up and fed, we all headed over to the LA Zoo (which is right near Adam's parents house). We didn't get there until 3 PM but it turned out to be the perfect time since the animals were coming back out to the enjoy the late-afternoon weather.

The giraffes were my favorite!

Does the entrance not totally look like Jurassic Park! It sure looked like it as we were exiting the park.

And home we flew the next day. Thanks for a fabulous vacation Dennis and Annell!!!
