Nothing beats the Fourth of July in the Falls. Try it. The combo of all things family, tradition, perfect weather, yummy food, and the ultimate fireworks show...we love being home for the Fourth!!!
The morning starts off bright and early at the Idaho Falls parade...the place to see old school cars all hydraulic-ed out, tractors, go carts, potato-sac skirted cheerleaders (from the small town near Idaho Falls :), and so much more...
Cooper (too cool for the camera), Kellie (sister), Grandma Kris (my momma dear), Grandpa Craig (daddy-o) and Ryder man...
Jacob & Melanie came to visit!!! While Jacob was attending BYU-I he spent the Fourth with us in Idaho each year. Last year was his first year away and vowed he'd be back. It was good times having them with us. The kids love them...
The four boy cousins at the parade in their matching Captain America shirts + Kenedee. Thanks grandma & grandpa, they looking darling!
My two handsome boys...
Pierce. I wish everyone could meet this little guy cause he's one of a kind. I took a million pictures of him at the parade cause nothing beat watching this little guy...I don't know anyone that LOVED being there more than he did. He sat on the blanket the entire parade, waving his flag, waving to every person that passed by, and eagerly awaited each float. We love this kid!
Giving his classic friendly wave and saying 'hi!!!'
Everytime there was a gap in the parade, he'd lean over and see what was coming next...
And he couldn't help but stomp his feet to the beat whenever a float or school band was playing some music...
After the parade we headed home to regroup for lunch. Our tradition each year is taking lunch to the park and meeting up with our four other family friends. It was kind of a dead-year this year with kids visiting home (everyone is spread across the country) but we still enjoyed our day at the park. We came home with some tanned legs and red faces. Go figure, it was hotter in Idaho that day than in Phoenix...
After the park we came home for naps, bbqed in my parents backyard, and headed to the River for the fireworks. THE BEST FIREWORKS SHOW EVER. I promise. Lincoln & Pierce fell asleep in the middle of them - I don't know how that happens but it usually does every year. Probably because it doesn't get dark until 10 pm and that's when the show starts :)
One thing missing on our Fourth was Adam. He was home in Arizona being lonely on his Fourth. Well not really since Mark & Kay kept him busy that afternoon/evening bringing him along with them to the Diamondbacks game. Thanks Mark & Kay for taking care of him, we sure missed him!

My mom and dad were in Lewiston Idaho for the 4th! They said it was awesome. Great weather and beautiful fireworks. They live in Alaska so they don't usually get to see fireworks on the 4th since it's light outside all night that time of year!
(this is Molly btw hehe)
