Bear World
My kids love Bear World, but let's be honest, so do I. They requested a visit to Bear World again while in Idaho so my parents made that happen on Thursday, July 5th (it's about 20 minutes from home is all). The kids before heading in - notice Pierce in the pic on the left, in the middle of waving to someone, probably a complete stranger walking away. oh this kid.
You drive your car through the park, Jurassic Park-style but with closed windows, which allows you to be up close and personal with the wildlife...
The grizzly bears are the only ones fenced in since they can be more aggressive. But this guy was about six feet from the car...so cool.
Some pics from our drive-through. The bears get sooo close to your car, like inches. It's awesome! Or they walk on the road in the front of you and you have to wait til they walk past so you don't run them over...
We saw a few wolves, which were leisurely walking in front of us causing us to go super slow...
After the drive-through you can park and check out the other half of the park. I love seeing the bear cubs, they look so cute and cuddly...
My little bear family (minus dad who was still in Arizona)...
In the petting zoo area, this lady worker walked up to us and asked if we wanted to see something really cool. So we follow her over to a little area of trees to see this little baby deer that had been born that very morning...so precious!
Enjoying the kid rides...
Exiting the park with bears and snakes in hand...one successful day! Thanks mom & dad!!!
