Welcome aboard the Polar Express! We love it on the train...and were excited to have Grandpa Craig, Grandma Kris, and Aunt Kate experience it all with us. This was our third year on the train but our kids are at the perfect age and love it so we're taking full advantage of the magic of the Polar Express in Williams, AZ. The Idaho threesome flew in on Thursday, December 13th, so we picked them up from the airport and headed north for our three-hour drive to Williams. We made it just in time for our 7:30 departure time on the Polar Express!!!
Following along in our book... (on the way to the North Pole)
We finally made it to the North Pole and the lights were all lit up. Santa was even standing out there in his sleigh waving to all of us with Bernard the Elf looking at his list. Our favorite this year (which we didn't see last year) were the little Elf houses, we think one of them must have been 'Elfie's house'.
Santa hopped on board and came to each child and handed them a bell, love it!
Pierce got a little friendly with the girl behind us...
Our bells!!!
As we got off the train, it was snowing!!!! So fun...
Our little family of five...
Grandma Kris, Grandpa Craig, & Aunt Kate...
I was loving the snow with all of the lights lit up, magical I tell ya!
When we got back to our hotel that evening they told us that we could do smores outside in their firepit...BONUS!!! We had to buy the chocolate bars in their little store but they provided the fire pit, metal sticks, marshmellows, and graham crackers...a class-act. It was chilly but the fire kept us plenty warm.
A perfect way to end the evening...
