Wednesday, August 10th was Kenedee's first day of KINDERGARTEN ...full day kindergarten!!! I wasn't excited about the 'full day' part cause she's still an awesome napper and loves playing at home. So it's been a little transition for all of us having her gone ALL day. She loves picking out her clothes each day and laying them out to see what they look like. She loves eating school lunch and having 'chocolate milk'. She loves learning new things and making new friends. She loves chasing Nicholi at recess (apparently this is her new boyfriend). I do not push this! This girl is a flirt and it's been kind of crazy/funny to see this all come natural. I definitely did not teach her to be all giddy and silly with boys and tease them whenever they're around; this girl has got it in her!
She was given a blank giant-sized paper doll that she had to bring all pictured-out on the first day of school...telling a little bit about herself. We had fun doing this and she was excited to take it to school and show her class.
Full day Kindergarten is hard. She has adjusted well and loves it of course but I feel like her 'little girl' childhood is gone. She gets up, gets ready, goes to school for 6 1/2 hours, has two hours of play when she gets home but is so tired that she usually watches a show or colors, dinner-time and then bed-time. Our days have sure changed around here.
