Making room...

When we sold the Pilot, we pretty much knew what our next car was going to be, which meant we needed a bit more room in the garage. So one Saturday we got busy (July 30th) which was about 110 degrees that day: not the best day to build shelves but it was the only spare time we had. The funny thing, kind of annoying though, was that we moved all of the stuff on the driveway so we could build the shelving and have room in the garage. And because it was a Saturday morning, a TON of cars came by thinking we were having a garage sale. A few times when we weren't paying attention, cars would stop, turn off their car, and walk over to the driveway and starting looking at our stuff. We'd peek out of the garage and say 'this is not a garage sale.' So after about 10 cars, I put a sign on my bike saying 'NOT A GARAGE SALE'. Sheesh, it's not like we had that much stuff out there. But after a few hours and about thirty glasses of water, we finished one side of the garage. (Here's a pic of what it looked like from inside the garage, looking at our fake garage sale)

Some of the boards weren't completely on (on the shelves) but we're loving the new shelves which surprisingly store a lot...
