Carving time...courtesy of AB Farms

Adam's pumpkin patch had now covered the ENTIRE backyard grass section...no joke. It was so fun to see Adam take the kids out back and pick their very own pumpkins from 'Adam Barlow Farms' as he liked to refer to it as. It worked out that 3 of them were ready to be carved so Monday, October 15th, we carved the night away....

Adam was quite anxious to cut into his first grown-pumpkin. He wasn't sure if it had fully matured, if the inside would be ready, etc but it couldn't have been more perfect. Proud moment for this guy, haha.

Kenedee drew her own face on her pumpkin and started cleaning away... (her pumpkin face made me laugh every time I saw it :)

Lincoln had actually claimed the bigger pumpkin that Kenedee carved. But the day before, he had taken his wooden sword and stabbed it into one of the smaller pumpkins, so that was now his lucky pumpkin :)

'What is this thing you put in front of me?' Pierce wasn't quite sure what was going on but didn't care as long as he got to be involved, he LOVES doing what we're all doing...

In no time he was digging in and pulling out guts :) (Adam went to take away his scooper after he'd been digging for some time and he whipped that thing away so fast - bottom right pic. This kid was enjoying himself!)

The finished products... (and three proud little munchkins!)

A carving night is not complete without Adam roasting up some delicious pumpkin seeds which we got to enjoy for the following days!
