November 24th
We drove down to Bountiful on Wednesday, November 24th, while the rest of the fam flew into town, including my dad's side of the family.

The night before Thanksgiving, my Aunt Janalyn wanted to make these 'turkey' cupcakes for Thanksgiving Day. So the guys were nice enough to be our hands while my dad took us girls down to visit with my Grandpa. And we came back to this...
(Paige (sister-in-law), Jana (cousin), Steve (brother-in-law), Adam, & Earlene (aunt)

How awesome are these little turkey creations...

THANKSGIVING DAY, November 25th
The Thanksgiving table always looks amazing (credit goes to Aunt Janalyn & Aunt Earlene this year). They had it all set up the day before.

After an afternoon of over-eating, we took off for the movies. My parents were kind enough to take the little ones to see Tangled while the adults went to Harry Potter.

Some of the family went snowboarding while the rest of us stayed back to visit with my Grandpa. We were able to meet up with our close friends from Georgia, who were also in town for the Holidays. It's always a treat to see these guys! (Wherever we went in Georgia people would ask Marissa & I if we were sisters. And if Kellie was with us, they'd think all three of us were sisters. Strangely weird because we were probably asked on a weekly basis.)

We then ventured out in the cold on Saturday night to see the lights at Temple Square.

On Sunday morning we went to visit my Grandpa Earl for the last time. We knew it would be our last time seeing him which made it extra hard. He was doing okay but the pneumonia had taken a toll on his body and we knew he only had weeks/months left. We all had very tearful partings as we said our last goodbyes. I'll never forget the smile he gave me as I held his hand before leaving. He was one amazing guy!

We went back to my Grandpa's house to load up the cars to make our way back to Idaho (after the rest of the crew flew out that day). My grandpa's house is up by the 'B' on the Bountiful mountain and was covered in snow. Another storm had arrived as we were loading up the cars which always makes it interesting with his super steep driveway...

A-man shoveling Grandpa's sidewalk...brrrr...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2010, it was a great one!!!
