Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 8th, the Easter bunny made an early visit to our home because we had some goodies waiting for us when we woke up. The kids thought it was hilarious that the Easter bunny left a trail of jellybeans from the couch to the front door. All I can think of is that he must have had a hole in his sack of jellybeans that spilled as he hopped out. Lincoln was actually a little concerned that he might have spilt all his jellybeans :)

The Easter bunny must have known that the kids had already been spoiled from both sets of Grandparents prior to Easter so he went a little light on the candy with a few extra bonus toys instead. Nice one!

Melissa & Doug sticker books, the best!

This is how Pierce rolls these days...

After baths, Lincoln decided to try out some goods before we left for Church. He was quite excited to have his very own chocolate bunny.

Family photo after church (timer all the way...did I make you proud kell!)

That afternoon the kids went outside to play with some chalk. When I walked out to see what they were up to, they had a masterpiece waiting for me to see...Christ on the cross. Kenedee's is on the left and Lincoln's is on the right. Kenedee even drew the nails in his hands and feet with only a sheet covering his waist. The kids thought it was weird that they took his clothes off when they hung him on the cross (referencing the pictures and Easter pageant) but they got that detail right. Lincoln told me that instead of a wrap he just drew underwear. The arms and legs that Lincoln drew were about 4 feet long each, funny kid. It's a special moment when you think your kids might be getting it :) It helped that we were able to experience the Easter Pageant a few days before Easter Sunday. The kids knew what and why we were celebrating Easter. What a special day!

Where did you get your brown couch in the front room? Is it comfortable? In the market for one and I like that simple look! Sounds like a fun Easter for the kiddos! I love how you make holidays so much fun for them.
