LP Day Five: Moki Canyon & Smith's Fork

Our last day at Powell :( Friday morning we headed out for Moki Canyon. When we were little, I remember boating up to the sand mountain up Moki and running down the mountain full speed into the water - the best! But it may never get that high again so you gotta hike in to find the mountain :)

There it is!!!

And off they go...see ya later :) I was not about to hike this with Pierce, hot sand, and the heat (and no water to run into at the bottom for the ultimate ending)...so Kenedee, Pierce & I stayed at the bottom. (Paige, now you can show Kurt that you made it half way up :)

And not to mention, it was a STRAIGHT UP climb, talk about intense...

Props to these guys, you made it!

View from the top, so proud to call this guy my dad!

After Moki Canyon & lunch the clouds started rolling in, the first storm of the week. But we had one more canyon to go...Smith's Fork which is a family favorite. So we hustled it big time...

We made it, headed into the cave...

Soooooo cool!!! The view from the outside, and the view from inside...

At the end of the cave is a rounded wall which is usually filled with water. So much so that in the past, my brothers and cousins have run around the wall jumping into the water. This year we were amazed to see almost no water, a first. Usually the water is well above my head almost to the water line, pretty crazy.

Us girls had to recreate this famous pic from a few years ago, haha

And the jump, guess I should have lifted my legs so it could have looked like I made it off the sand :)

After we got back to Bullfrog, we headed into the hotel restaurant for dinner, our nightly ritual. The view is amazing and looks right out to the lake from the rock cliffs. Good times indeed.

A week filled with non-stop fun for these cousins...

Taking it all in after dinner, this place is the best!!!

These two amazing parents made it all happen, thanks for a week filled with forever great memories together as a family!!!
