Day One at Lake Powell (Monday, July 9th) started out with a picture of the 10 grandchildren in their matching pjs from Grandma Kris & Grandpa Craig. They were looking super cute...
Our first stop that day was up Forgotten Canyon. This was one of my favorites as a child. INDIAN RUINS and probably the coolest ones at Powell. You can see from the pic but they are nestled up in the crack of the rock wall, pretty sweet.
Headed up to the ruins...
We made it!
Peeking out from inside of one of their structures...
Headed down inside another...
Checking out the smoke hole...
Adam & Pierce with the boats in the background. This drop over the ledge is hundreds of feet down and a little bit freaky. This is an area where my motherly-worriness-instincts are in full force :)
Group pic (minus Steve & Kristopher/Celeste and kids)
Headed down...
Lunch break on the lake...one of my favorite parts of Powell. Hanging out in a shaded cove, perfect weather, delicious food, and great company...doesn't get much better. Pierce was loving him some potato chips.
Lincoln & Asher were the squirt gun masters...
My dad playing with his remote control Malibu boat, how sweet is that...
These crazies and their cliff jumping, no thank you :)
Tapestry Wall...
Day One: fabulous.
