HOUSE HUNTING
We're officially on our fourth week of looking for a house - FRUSTURATING. It's actually fun to go through homes and check out the neighborhoods but when you feel like you have a 10% chance of getting a house, it gets really frusturating. Most everything is a short sale out here (in our price range) and those can take 4-6 months for the bank to accept your offer so we've weeded those out quickly. We've seen dozens of houses, put about 9 offers out there, and still don't have a house. We have LOVED about 3 houses and came SUPER close to getting one so there is hope out there. The closest we came was to owning this little beauty...
Two weeks ago it came down to us and one other offer on this house. It needed to close in three weeks (August 21st) which couldn't have worked out better for us. We had the higher offer but they accepted the other one since they had their underwriting done and could guarantee a three-week close. Sad day, actually it made for a depressing week since I was feeling hopeless at that point. But then more come on on the weekends and more offers go in. So hopefully we'll find the HOUSE!!!
FRIEND GET-TOGETHER
In the meantime, we got together with a bunch of my guy friends from High School. Three of them live in Phoenix and the other one flew out from Atlanta to see us all. It was a fun get together meeting the wives and offspring. Too bad Caleb & Criscell don't live closer, Kenedee LOVED playing with Caysja that night. Thanks Nate & Tashina for hosting!

TEA PARTY AT THE SCHILDS'
Our friend Hailey invited Kenedee over for a Tea Party she was throwing for her daughter and her friends. Kenedee loved the interaction and especially loved the dress-ups, going straight for the AURORA dress...
ADAM HARD AT WORK
Adam started at his Uncle's law firm as soon as we got back from Powell. He can't take the bar until February but he's quickly learning the role of a lawyer. His uncle gave him two cases right off the bat to do from start to finish. He couldn't be happier with where he is and how much he is already learning.
OUR LITTLE FISH
We're staying with Adam's Uncle & Aunt until we find a house. A huge bonus is that they have a pool. So I put Lincoln down for his morning nap and Kenedee & I head out for a swim. We go swimming about everyday and Kenedee LOVES it!
SECOND COUSINS COME FOR A VISIT
Adam's cousin came into town (daughter of the Aunt & Uncle we're staying with) and has two daughters pretty close in age with Kenedee & Lincoln. Last week these kids had a ball. Kenedee made a new best-friend and couldn't get enough of Ella. They were two peas in a pod, loved pink, princesses, swimming, and playing. They even looked alike I thought. So that kept us busy last week with friends to play with.

Kenedee just turned THREE on August 15th, which kept us busy this last weekend. (post soon to come)

good update! that is a sweet pool you can go to everyday. Kenedee's picture smiles are getting better. hehe.
How exciting to be looking for a home, that seems far off for KC and I. You know Kc is going to Chiropractic school, so the first thing I thought when I saw Adam hard at work was we are going to have to fix his ergonomics. Or give him weekly adjustments. You will find a better house, it will work out.
Wow- We've been house hunting too here in St. George, UT. We've been doing the same thing as far as avoiding short sales and putting tons of offers in and coming SO close and zip! I'm glad it's not just me! Good luck!
I know how frustrating it can be to find a house. We just moved ourselves. It does seem to take forever to close on the house and to get offers accepted. But it does happen! :-) I'm looking forward to meeting you guys on Friday! Adam has nothing but nice things to say about growing up with your hubby. With our kids so close in age, hopefully we will be able to spend lots of time together. :-)
