So here's to our eventful Wednesday, February 15th... The house was ready to go for the party. The kids had three stations, decorating their mailboxes, making love bugs, and decorating heart sugar cookies (outside). After that we enjoyed the yummy red/pink/white snacks (brought by everyone) and then the kids lined up their mailboxes and put a Valentine in each one...my favorite part.
Lincoln's Valentine's that he passed out...
The first group of kids decorating their mailboxes...
Love bug making time. I had the yarn all ready to go in individual bags so that the kids could wind it themselves around a piece of cardboard. You then tie a piece around it all, cut the other side, glue them to an egg carton section, poke through the ears, glue on the eyes, and put on the heart beads. They all seemed to enjoy this activity...
The 28 mailboxes lined up and ready to be filled...
Lincoln's mailbox and goodies acquired from the party. He was one happy boy!
Millie, Lincoln and Pierce checking out their goods after the party...
Kenedee got home from school that day and wanted to make her own love bug...
These three crazies make me a happy mom
After Valentine's Day, Adam bringing home four boxes of Girl Scout cookies, and the Valentine party, our candy stash was OUT OF CONTROL!
That afternoon the kids wanted to fly their new kites they had gotten for Valentine's Day and it happened to be a random windy day. Go Barbie & Green Lantern!
